Smart Quartz Care and Maintenance Guidelines.
RESIDENTIAL LIFETIME WARRANTY
Gramaco Stone Source (“Gramaco”) warrants that Smart Quartz surfaces (the “Product”), when
permanently installed in their original interior residential location, shall be free from manufacturing defects in
the material itself from the date of the original installation.
This Warranty is valid only if:
- (a) the Product was fabricated and installed by a qualified fabricator or installer;
- (b) the Product has been fully paid for; and
- (c) the Product has been used, maintained, and cared for in strict accordance with the Smart Quartz Care
and Maintenance Guidelines.
Smart Quartz’s obligations under this Warranty are limited solely and exclusively, at Smart Quartz’s
absolute discretion, to either repair of the defective portion of the Product or replacement of the defective
Product material.
Smart Quartz does not guarantee that any repair or replacement will result in an exact color, pattern, or
finish match due to natural mineral variation.
This Warranty applies only to the original residential purchaser and is non-transferable.
All costs associated with removal, reinstallation, fabrication, plumbing, electrical, transportation, or other
services are the sole responsibility of the purchaser, except as expressly stated herein.
2. Warranty Scope and Limitations
This Warranty applies only to Smart Quartz quartz surfaces. It does not apply to sinks,
faucets, appliances, adhesives, caulking, seam materials, non–Smart Quartz products, or any third-party
materials.
This Warranty covers only interior, permanent, non-mobile residential installations and does not cover
shower installations, exterior applications, boats, RVs, mobile environments, or products moved from their
original installation location.
Dissatisfaction with color, veining, gloss level, pattern distribution, or aesthetic preference is not covered.
If Smart Quartz or its agent determines that the installed material is not genuine Smart Quartz, the
homeowner will be charged the applicable service fee.
3. Claims Procedure
To obtain Warranty consideration, the purchaser must first contact the original fabricator, complete the
Smart Quartz Warranty Registration Form with proof of purchase, and submit the completed form to
customerservice@gramaco.com prior to expiration of the Warranty Period.
Gramaco or its authorized agent must be allowed full access to inspect the installation. Failure to provide
such access voids the Warranty.
All determinations as to the existence of a manufacturing defect shall be made solely by Gramaco and shall
be final and binding.
4. Exclusions
This Warranty excludes damage resulting from improper use or care, including thermal shock, heat
exposure, impact damage, scratches, staining, etching, discoloration, chemical exposure, or improper
maintenance.
Natural raw material characteristics such as color variation, veining, gloss differences, mineral
distribution, resin pooling, and differences between samples and installed material are not covered.
Environmental or structural factors including sunlight, UV exposure, moisture, weather, structural
movement, substrate failure, installation errors, vandalism, misuse, neglect, or abuse are excluded.
Gramaco shall not be responsible for fabrication, removal, reinstallation labor, plumbing or electrical work,
cabinetry, drywall, backsplash, flooring, appliance modifications, or access-related costs. Simple plumbing
and electrical disconnect/reconnect costs are reimbursable up to $300.
5. Warranty Duration
Any repaired or replaced material shall remain warranted only for the remainder of the original Warranty
Period. The Warranty Period does not restart or extend.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gramaco’s total aggregate liability is limited to the cost of the
defective Product material only. Gramaco shall not be liable for incidental, consequential, special,
exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of use, property damage, lost profits, or inconvenience.
No dealer, installer, fabricator, or sales representative is authorized to modify, extend, or alter this
Warranty. This Warranty provides specific legal rights, and additional rights may vary by state or province.
COMMERCIAL 15-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
Smart Quartz – Commercial Installations
Issued by Gramaco Stone Source (“Gramaco”)
Gramaco warrants that Smart Quartz surfaces (the “Product”), when permanently
installed in their original interior commercial location, shall be free from
manufacturing defects in the material itself for a period of fifteen (15) years
from the date of the original installation (the “Warranty Period”).
This Warranty is valid only if all of the following conditions are met:
- Qualified Fabrication/Installation:
The Product was fabricated and installed by a qualified fabricator or installer. - Full Payment:
The Product has been fully paid for. - Proper Use & Care:
The Product has been used, maintained, and cared for in strict accordance with the
Smart Quartz Care and Maintenance Guidelines.
Gramaco’s obligations under this Warranty are limited solely and exclusively, at
Gramaco’s discretion, to either repair of the defective portion of the Product or
replacement of the defective Product material only. Gramaco does not guarantee that
any repair or replacement will result in an exact color, pattern, or finish match
due to natural variation.
This Warranty applies only to the original commercial purchaser, is non-transferable,
and covers product material only. All labor and ancillary costs are excluded unless
expressly stated otherwise.
2. Warranty Scope and Limitations
This Warranty applies only to Smart Quartz quartz surfaces and does
not apply to sinks, faucets, appliances, fixtures, adhesives, caulking, seam materials,
non–Smart Quartz products, or materials fabricated or installed with other
manufacturers’ accessories or components.
This Warranty covers only interior, permanent, non-mobile commercial installations
and does not cover exterior installations, wet-area installations such as showers,
boats, RVs, trailers, food trucks, mobile structures, or Products moved from their
original installation location.
Aesthetic concerns—including dissatisfaction with color, veining, gloss level,
pattern distribution, resin visibility, or general appearance—are not covered.
If Gramaco or its agent determines that the installed material is not genuine Smart
Quartz quartz, the purchaser will be charged the applicable service
fee then in effect.

Structural, environmental, or installation factors—including installation errors,
seam issues, insufficient support, building movement, substrate failure, UV exposure,
moisture, accidents, misuse, vandalism, abuse, or acts of God—are excluded.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Gramaco is not responsible for fabrication,
removal, reinstallation labor, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance work, cabinetry,
drywall, flooring, tile, backsplash modifications, access-related expenses, hoisting,
freight, or site preparation. No commercial disconnect/reconnect allowances are
provided.
5. Warranty Duration
Any repaired or replaced portion of the Product shall remain warranted only for the
remainder of the original Warranty Period. The Warranty Period does not restart or
extend under any circumstance.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gramaco’s total aggregate liability is strictly
limited to the cost of the defective Product material only. Gramaco shall not be liable
for incidental, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or special damages, including
downtime, loss of use, lost profits, property damage, business interruption, or
inconvenience.
No dealer, installer, fabricator, designer, or sales representative is authorized to
modify or alter this Warranty. This Warranty provides specific legal rights, and
additional rights may vary by jurisdiction.

Product Care & Maintenance
The Natural Look of Engineered Quartz Surfaces
Your Smart Quartz surface is crafted with unique aesthetics and high-performance
properties derived from pure natural quartz. Although engineered, the manufacturing process does not
control the exact flow of colors throughout each slab. This means slabs featuring multiple background
tones, varied vein colors, and distinctive movement patterns will always be one of a kind.
Because of this natural variation, no two slabs are identical. For the best color match, slabs from the
same batch should be used. Color variation, veining movement, and pattern shifts are part of the
artistic character that the Smart Quartz aims to replicate through its advanced
manufacturing process.
Regular Cleaning
Maintaining your surface is simple. Since it is nonporous, routine cleaning with mild soap and water
will keep it looking like new. Wipe spills promptly using a cloth, microfiber cloth, or paper towel.
which can create puddles. As this liquid evaporates, it may leave a dull or spotty appearance caused
by sponge residue.
For stubborn stains, use a non-abrasive cleaning pad—such as a white Scotch-Brite® pad—along with a
liquid, non-abrasive cleaner like Formula 409® Glass and Surface Cleaner. Do not use abrasive
cleaners, harsh chemicals, or abrasive pads. For grease, use a degreasing product and follow the
manufacturer’s instructions.
Heat and Scratch Resistance
Your Smart Quartz surface is heat and scratch resistant—but not heat or scratch
proof. Always use cutting boards to protect both the surface and your knives. Use heat trivets or pads
under hot pots, pans, slow cookers, or countertop appliances that produce heat. Do not place hot
cookware directly onto the countertop.
Hard-to-Remove Stains
For marks such as permanent marker, the quartz surface is not actually stained; the agent has adhered
to the surface. Use a small amount of glass cooktop cleaner and a soft cloth, working in a circular
motion until the mark disappears. Goo Gone®, Goof Off®, and Magic Eraser® can also be effective.
Rinse thoroughly with mild soap and water afterwards.
For hardened food residue, gently scrape with a plastic scraper or a glass razor scraper, then clean
as needed following the instructions above.
Durability
Surfaces from the Smart Quartz are extremely durable—more resistant to cracks,
chips, and pitting than many natural stones when properly installed and maintained. However, no
surface is indestructible. Avoid excessive force or pressure, particularly around edges, corners, and
cutouts such as undermount sink openings.
Proper structural support is essential. Your countertop should not sag or feel unsupported at the back
wall or corners. If you notice concerns, contact your installer immediately.
Improper Load Limits on Countertops
Countertops are designed for everyday use—not for supporting excessive weight. Avoid using your countertop as:
- A seat
- A ladder for installers
- A scaffold for painters or electricians
- A workbench for heavy tools or equipment
You have every right to ensure that tradespeople do not use your countertops improperly. Inspect your
surfaces after any work is done to ensure that any damage is addressed responsibly.

manufacturing defects are uncommon, Smart Quartz supports its product with a 15-Year Limited
Residential Warranty.
